Mbam, Terkuma Solomon is a development and humanitarian programme professional with over 15 years of experience designing, implementing, and strengthening results-driven interventions across Nigeria. His work spans public health (HIV/TB), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), community systems strengthening, gender-responsive programming, and economic Empowerment and Livelihood programming.
He brings deep technical expertise in programme management, Results-Based Management (RBM), monitoring and evaluation systems, data quality assurance, and donor compliance. Solomon has supported and managed initiatives funded by major development partners including Global Fund, UNICEF, DFID-linked programmes, the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN), Catholic Relief Service (CRS), Knowledge Network for disease control vigilance (KNCV), Christian Aid, National Human Rights, and other national and international organizations.
His technical expertise is grounded in an MSc in Public Health and BSc degrees in Nursing and Microbiology, which he leverages to oversee complex program monitoring and evaluation systems while providing high-level guidance to project teams.
Known for combining analytical precision with practical field leadership, he has led multidisciplinary teams, coordinated government and stakeholder partnerships, strengthened reporting systems (including DHIS2 and EMR), and contributed to measurable improvements in programme performance and accountability.
Solomon’s multidisciplinary academic background in Economics, Sociology, Health and Social services Management and Medical Sociology informs his systems-thinking approach, enabling him to integrate social, behavioural, and operational perspectives into development programming.
