Background of ORHI

Olive Right to Health Initiative – ORHI is an independent initiative registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria for the main purpose of contributing to policy issues affecting the rights of sexual minorities and PLWHA’s in Nigeria, through research, analysis, training, awareness campaign development and advocacy. ORHI was established in November 2015 to fill the vacuum within the civil society’s landscape and contribute to the developmental needs of Nigeria in the areas of health, human and social development.

ORHI has grown from working purely with the general population to now working with Key population (KPs) on advocacy and implementing body involved in health and human rights intervention that concern MSM, FSW, PWIDs, TG in Nigeria.
OUR VISION STATEMENT
A society where the fundamental Human Right, health care services of every individual is respected and protected irrespective of their gender, age, race, sexuality, health status and other services in order to ensure and maintain a healthy society.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To provide free health care services that will promote, protect and improve lifelong health of an individual, respects for ethics and Human Right, Advocacy, Vulnerable and health equity in a society.
ORHI OVERALL GOAL
Our overarching goal is to ensure the provision of adequate healthcare and promotion of human rights services for the Key Affected populations in Nigeria.
